RE: [RC] Suspicious response to ad - Lysane CreeThanks for the tips! I find it weird that they always ask for information that is contained in the ad. If they had read the ad, they would know the price, the color, the size, etc. and they never seem to know much about "the item". :) The most recent one did mention a cashier's cheque and wanted to have my address and home phone number. Ummm, sorry! I responded by saying that I don't give out my phone numbers to anyone since we have to protect ourselves from all of the scams out there and that all of the information that they are asking for is posted in the ad (that they should have seen, right?) LOL Wonder if they will respond or go look for another sucker :) Interestingly, my email address is never in the "To" line, it is another address that I don't recognize. And on this last one, I was in the "cc's" along with about 6 other people. My
reaction to the e-mails seem to be accurate - when its legit, the person sounds legit, and asks real questions about the saddle, not generic questions about "the item", the last posted price (huh?), my phone number, address, country, etc. The scammers also sound a little too enthusiastic - " I truly love your item and want to receive it immediately" or "my client is satisfied with the condition of the item and must have it immediately". LOL Lysane
