RE: [RC] Water stops - heidiThe year was 2000 and I'm sorry if I mislead someone by my forgetfulness of how many water stops there were. I remember the Rose Mine crossing one, not the others, but that didn't make any difference to Lud's horse. He was always a poor drinker. Lud finally gave him to a friend of a friend as a pleasure horse and he is still happy taking care of a bunch of teenage girls. The fact that the horse refused to drink when it was obvious he needed it was making it very tough for Lud. He worried a lot about the horse's welfare. Some horses truly are not suited to this sport--and when that is the case, it's sure nice to see riders who recognize that and find the horse another job. Kudos to you and Lud for that, Barbara.
