Re: [RC] Using yogurt - ShermanI was told if it doesn't say "live" then it isn't. However, I've just checked out the Yoplait website and it does say they do use "live and active" cultures, then adds that heat processing destroys the live cultures in some yogurt, and that the National Yogurt Association has developed a seal that may be used on yogurt that contains a significant level of live and active cultures. Look for the symbol on Yoplait product package. There was no sample of the symbol. Is it on Josie's Yoplait container?Kathy I'm looking at Josie's Yoplait Lite. In red letters, above the other ingredients (so maybe you missed it) it says "With active yogurt cultures including L. acidophilus. Checked my Bi-Lo store brand (what the horses and I get), and it says "active yogurt cultures" too. Is there a difference in "active" and "live"? Both these are 2/$1..not health food store priced.
