[RC] AHA requirements for ride managers - cynthia hamberg

Alissa:

Yes, you have to have your ride sanctioned by the AHA as an approved
ride, or "Regional Championship."  Then, you also have to provide a
separate BC for the Arabs and another BC for the 1/2 Arabs.  For my ride
last year, that was 4 BCs for the vets to do...(25-milers, 50-milers, Arab 
& 1/2 Arab).  You will also need a steward.  Go to the Arabian Horse 
Association
website (--don't have it on hand) and download application forms if you 
are interested in dual sanctioning.  When your ride results are in, you 
also report separately to the AHA.  Good luck with your ride!
