RE: [RC] [RC] Study on electrolyte/ulcers - Juli JakubAngie,I am not opposed to using e-lytes. I certainly do not think it is a religion. I do not have anywhere near enough knowledge to feel that strongly about it! I am just relieved that it seems that it is safe and okay to do some slow rides without e-lyting and take some time to determine if the horse actually needs it. I am sure many people e-lyte with great success...they also understand what they are doing. I have e-lyted event horses when I felt they need it.( Although not often) I was just worried because I had the impression everyone in endurance used them and I did not understand why or how they were being used in the context of endurance. If I have a horse that needs them, certainly they will get them, but it is nice to start simply in a sport that is so involved. One less thing to worry about doing right in those first, slow attempts! Cheers,
