RE: [RC] Tie Right, Hi Tie system - Sharon Levasseur

In the interest of reducing confusion... what you’re referring to is the “TieRite” product, not a “HiTie” at all.  HiTie is the name of a different, competing product... unfortunately they’ve got the most descriptive name so everyone uses it when they’re talking about trailer-mounted overhead tethers for horses.  It’s like how “Kleenex” became the appropriate word to use for any brand of facial tissue.

Sorry, that’s the only input I’ve got.  I used a HiTie for almost 2 years and liked it, but I have no first-hand experience with the TieRite product.  I did observe that it’s a lot more “invasive” to install (ie more bolts).

Subject: [RC] Tie Right, Hi Tie system

I am purchasing a Tie Right, Hi Tie system as they're on sale through Country Supply right now. I surfed the Ridecamp archives and found a comparison and they seem as good as the others, but they are nearly $100 cheaper. I didn't find individual comments about them specifically. Anyone have experience with that particular model? I have an American 3 horse slant trailer. Thanks
