I've kinda been out of reading and posting lately
in all the groups. Especially the last two weeks as I've been helping my hubby
wrench on his 18-wheeler to get it back on the road and him back to work. I
tried to wade through the hundreds and hundreds of newsgroup emails but finally
gave up and deleted the whole lot. Boy, you guys talk a lot!!!
Anyway, I've paid for three days at Cuyama and I'm
going! Not sure I'll ride more than a day or two, but it sure will be nice to
get out of the RAIN. My luck, I'll bring it with me!
I'll have copies of my book with me, some single
sheet calendars and bumper stickers. I've decided to run a special Riders of the
Lost Duck Sale for those coming to Cuyama. Save postage and get a heck of a deal
at the same time! I'll also have a few bags of Fastrack with me.
Book sales are still going strong and I am happier
than all get-out how well they've been doing on Amazon, even if I don't make
much money there. It means NEW people are buying them! One of my original
intentions of the book was to grow the sport and I'm proud to say that I've
accomplished that in my own little way.
If you're coming to Cuyama, please stop and
introduce yourself to me so I can put a face to your name!!! Look for the
trailer with a white horse tied to it. Oh, uh ... that's probably like ... every
trailer there, right??? Ha ha ... The white horse (James Dean) will be tied to a
3-horse Silverlite and green Chevy extended cab dually. That outta make it
easier. It actually might have two white horses tied to it, but I haven't made
up my mind on that part yet.
I believe Julie and Bob Suhr will be attending
also. If you don't have a copy of her book yet, PLEASE, PLEASE .... buy one!
It's the best read around.
:) Jackie
(who is looking forward to taking more pictures of
wild flowers ...)
