And besides, the RM has gone to all the work of putting this party on, and is going to potentially lose money if people don't go (being an RM myself, I tend to think of this). About the only time I *won't* go if the weather is bad (and in East Texas, "bad" generally means heavy rain) is if I know the trails and know that they tend to get really, really bad with extensive rain. Then I might not go. But even then I may still go, but just do a shorter distance. I have a really had time staying home when there's a ride happening. <G>
I did skip Frigid Digit a couple of years ago due to icy roads getting there. Which is a bummer, because people got to ride in the SNOW!!! That would have been sooo cool for Texas.
