Re: [RC] Heart Monitor - Belt vs. Electrodes - Sharon LevasseurI think you have a different system than I have. I have the belt transmitter and the watch, but nothing else, no separate sending unit. You can see it here... it's the EZRate Belt System sold by EPP: http://www.equineperformanceproducts.com/systems.htm I usually put the transmitter piece just in front of the cinch, with the end of the rubber a little distance away from the centerline of his belly. But I think the transmitter pieces come in different lengths so that description may not help you. -Sharon L. Quoting Keith Kibler <skkibler@xxxxxxxxxxx>: Okay, after having alot of experiance using heart rate moniters on myself, I have started using them on one of my horses that I am trying to get ready for endurance. It is the type that is wireless and has a "sending unit" that has a signal picked up by the receiver on my wrist. So, with my horse wired for heartrate at my left wrist and a wrist mounted gps on my right wrist I can try working on my ability to trail ride while not looking ahead at all. :-} My experiance last week was just like yours, mid 30 heart rate, then 177 then 80. What the heck? Where is the best place to have the sending unit get its pulse? thanks Keith What place on the horse =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
