After the loss of a great mule, who ment the world to me, we sent a subcription 
for the Western Mule magazine to the office of the vet.,(an endurance rider), 
who cared for her in her last days. It's sent in her name and injoyed by many 
who find themselves in the waiting room. We renew it each year. I'm not 
suggesting a mule magazine, you can find a dog magazine that fits better. It's 
nice way to remember. Sorry to hear of your friends lose.
