Reminds me of a hot-shot sheriff possee guy leading a poker ride some years back in our neck of the woods. We went to participate and take our kids; knowing it would be a slow; ploddy ride....which would of been okay except for the know-it-all who sat there on his fat unconditioned QH in his heavy Western saddle, chaps, spurs, cowboy hat, too-tight breastcollar and laughed at our helmts and tights....and blew a lot of hot air all the ride about all the endurance riding HE had done (could not remember the names of any rides, of course).. The topper was 2 hours out on this very long, boring, hot ride, we came to a delightful huge brown puddle in the ruts of the road....."well, the spandex crowd (us) made a beeline for the puddle where our horses chugged down this wonderful, brown-tinted puddle water. Mr. Chaps-and-spurs was just horrified!! Exclaimed loudly to the whole group that HE never let his horse drink out of muddy muddles, that it would make your horse PEE BROWN!!!
