Couldn't agree with this more.  My horse is treated like my kid.
I even bought him his own box of Girl Scout cookies.  My husband
refers to him as "my boyfriend".  Shaba has gotten me through a
lot of hard times, and I don't know what I would have done 
without his companionship.

Lauretta and Shaba (who, although he likes his Hostess Fruit Pie
treats, LOOOOVES the peanut butter Do-Si-Dos that the Girl Scouts
sell...)
