Re: [RC] micrograms to ml? - Diane TrefethenHi Patty,I am assuming that the medicine in question is from her vet, not just something she bought over the counter. Micrograms are measures of weight, usually applied to dry substances like powders, and millilitres are measures of volume, usually used with liquids. Your friend's problem is akin to being told to give her horse a tablespoon of something but then the measurer is labeled in ounces. SHE SHOULD CALL HER VET BEFORE ADMINISTERING ANYTHING. Verify the dosage as millilitres. If the medicine is LIQUID, she will need to find a liquid dropper labeled in mls. Perhaps in a medicine cabinet, a child's ear drops or something similar. I save droppers from any meds I get for just such exigencies. If the medicine is DRY, she needs to ask the vet if she should she dilute it and if so how many micrograms per how many millilitres (or tablespoons) of water? If she shouldn't dilute it, then how many micrograms per dose? indiancp wrote: anybody know how many micrograms to one ml? a friend just called and is trying to find out as she's supposed to give her horse some med. in ml but it came with a microgram measurer. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
