I am getting a lot of advice and tips about riding with your "Aunt Flo". so
apparantly (sp) it is something a lot of you have had to think about and deal
with.
So far I've learned :
#1 Do not ride in a pad unless you want severe blisters down there.
#2 I am not the only 42 year old with very heavy flow.
#3 Wear dark navy or black tights in case of leakage.
#4 Use a black synthetic saddle or black fleece butt saver also in case of
leakage and easy cleanup.
#5 People are very willing to help hold your horse, even on the trail, if
you need to change your "appliances".
#6 There are a lot of ways via drugs and surgery to stop Aunt Flo
altogether. But definitely talk with your doctor.
#7 If you see a woman in dark tights, with a black saddle and a large fanny
pack slowing down and fumbling around in her tights, she needs her privacy so
don't go back to "help" her.
#8 for some reason you ride a lot faster when you are in the flood zone,
and may actually win.
#9 There is no reason to stay home from a ride just because "Aunt Flo" came
to visit.
Thanks so much, you gals are
great!
Vicki...who will always ride in black tights from now.
