I would be interested in this. Is your truck
diesel or gas? Single rear wheels or dually?
The owner's manual on my new truck (diesel SRW 350
4x4) recommends that the engine be washed from time to time. I'm not sure
if that would help. I never did that for my 1989 250 SRW 4x2 and it still
gets 8-10 mpg pulling 9-10,000# in mountains.
We have 2002 Ford F350 4x4. When we first got it brand new it got 20
MPG unloaded on the highway, and about 15 around town, about 14 fully loaded
pulling a trailer and camper. Now it gets about 14 highway, and 10 fully
loaded. I have the oil and all filters changed regularly. Anyone have a
similar experience?
