The truth is whether you want to believe it or not, great riders make ordinary horses look amazing. It was my privilege to observe this happen with a few people that I was fortuate to count as my friends & mentors in my 20+ years of endurance. They could ride almost any horse & make it into something special.  Then some riders luck into a very special horse that never get,s a chance to be great for whatever reason.  No one needs to be offended about it, no reflection on a horse that,s is ordinary, most people are & a few are special. jvm
