Baseball playes hate hitting for an hour off a pitching machine - but they do it because it helps them. I played basketball in high school. Our coach made us shoot 100 free throws at the end of practice every night before we left. If a player missed two free throws in a game he had to shoot 200 in after practice for a week. There was noting any more boring than shooting 100 free throws. However, when the game was on the line it was a nice feeling knowing that if you got fouled and went to the line, your free throws were automatic. We won a lot of ball games because of our proficiency at hitting free throws. It is also a very nice feeling to be going down the trail knowing, your horse knows what to do and you and he/she are flowing in harmony on every stride.
