[RC] Re:young horses/canter - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: patty pattypeck85@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== No horse on earth, of any breed, at any time, is or has ever >>been mature before the age of six (plus or minus six months). This information may come as a shock to many people I've always gone by this 'rule of thumb' and don't let my young horses canter or extend their trot except for a stride or two until after the age of six. It's good to see that there is science behind my madness. Patty =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
