[RC] Chevy's Add Pain & Suffering? - Don HustonVery philosophical of you Bruce. I do agree with the sentiment but have you had a good sneeze lately? A double? Those broken ribs can give real meaning to your quote "the world is full of pain, suffering and injustice". :-) Happy New Year Dr. "Q"Don Huston At 06:53 AM 1/2/2006 Monday, you wrote: As I get older, I realize that I have to know my limitations if I am to live happily and not spread myself too thin. I made a New Year's resolution to reserve less time for "taking offense" and more time for appreciation. When I am connecting with my beautiful 16 year old daughter, or sharing a special dinner with my wife, or I am king of all I survey when my horse carries me to new scenery and safely back home again, I just can't muster the energy to worry seriously about some corporate ad exec's poor judgement they exercised in trying to sell more trucks. I heard a phrase one time that always gives me hope when I recall it: "It's true that the world is full of pain, suffering and injustice. But it's also full of the overcoming of them." When we look through the "window of the world," the Chevy ad is just a fly speck, in my book. Here's hoping you can all happily exhibit as much honesty and fruitful hard work in the coming year...............as your horse. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
