RE: [RC] Chevy Blows it - heidiI have driven one ton Dodge Duallys for 6 years and was actually thinking about a change. I had read a lot about the Chevy Duramax----then I too saw the ad in Western Horsemen-----I think the women of endurance should go after the job of the ad agent who thought that ad was cute----from a legal point of view---it is sexist and discriminatory---from an everyday point of view---I WAS TOTALLY OFFENDED! Whoever wrote the ad for Chevy really SHOULD be looking for a new job. Not only is that sort of ad offensive, but sheesh, look at the deomgraphics of the horse world! Endurance isn't the only place where the ladies outnumber the men by a long shot. Who the heck do they think drives us to all of those horse activities? And who the heck do they think makes the buying decisions? Next time I'm in town, I plan to take a gander at WH on the newsrack, and I'll not only write to Chevy and WH, but I'll also drop it off with a local Chevy salesman I know, and see if he will write, too. I drive a Ford, and I'm with the ones who tend to only look at Fords or Dodges when I replace trucks anyway, but our local Chevy salesman is a nice guy. (In fact, he sold me my current Ford Powerstroke... <g>) Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
