Re: [RC] re: broken bones, etc. - rides2farAt the half way point the top of> the cast had eaten a hole under my knee and blood was pooling in my shoe, Ugh, don't tell me that, stop! no more!...well, OK, send me the pictures. :-) I tried riding just at a walk with a cast on my left ankle that went to the knee (A non horsey break! Sliding in to third...I was safe). Couldn't put my foot in the stirrup and the thing was heavy and kinda stuck out to the side. The horse got squirley, I couldn't do a very quick dismount. It was a bit hairy. I would not try that again. Can't figure how you rode one mile with one, much less 100!
