[RC] Broken bones, pins, & Screws - mkrumlawI'm the one who said I should have waited longer before I started riding again after a serious break. That being said most of my fractures have been significant and in weight bearing joints. (Pelvis, hip, lower back, shoulder, knee etc). Most of them also involved other types of trauma (injured spleed, kidney, nerves, etc) As "Dr. Bruce" says you should probably give it a rest.... I have a "Dr. Bruce" friend on this half of the country too, he would have given the same advice as the Dr. Bruce on your half of the country. But when he'd see me on a horse way before I was supposed to be back in the saddle, he'd always laugh and say "it only hurts in this lifetime." BUT the endurance rider in me says the wrist is a long way from the heart, if the horse I was riding is reasonably safe, and I could wrap the wrist up and keep it clean and dry, and the screws had time to set, I'd probably try jumping on and riding too. lol One "Dr. Bruce" is shaking his head now, and the other is laughing.
