[RC] scissor snaps - Jonni

I order all my reins with bolt snaps. They pretty much only open when
you want them too, and the brass ones would break in an extreme
emergency....<<<

We all have to choose what works best for US. I have had horses catch the
bolt on the bolt snap , and have it slide open and come off. Also saw a
horse tied with a lead rope with a big bolt snap, and it caught the bolt,
pushed it open, and it snapped back closed, around the bucket handle. Now we
had a panicked horse, with a bucket hanging from under it's halter. I only
use Bull Snaps or safety release snaps on my lead ropes, and in
over.....geezzzz....30+ years of having reins with scissor snaps, have
really not had that many issues with them.

No matter what you use, it might not work for the next person....I just use
what works best for ME, and my horses.

Jonni
