FrankI have an Arab mare who is so competitive that she couldn't bear being left behind by my friend's 17+ hand Dutch warmblood at a trot when we worked together. She developed a lovely fast something or other that wasn't a canter, but my friend (a dressage buff who likes her walk, trot, canter unadulterated) called it 'Dory's eggbeater trot'. I had an American vet watch it and his comment was that she did a nice single-foot. I have two of her son's, neither of whom show signs of developing this gait that I absolutely love. I wish I could find more gaited Arabs here. No one knows those gaits though. Maryanne ?
