Gaited Horse Can and Do Trot  also . My Walker  does a head shakin , 
over-stridin  Running Walk under Saddle  and then will go out in the Pasture  
and trot His Head  off .
A friends  Foxtrotter  Trots in the Pasture  and then Does a  Rack under 
Saddle.      What you see in the Pasture is not  always what you get under 
Saddle.  I have learned that Horses are very capable  of switching from a 
Lateral  to a Diagonal  Gait .

5 gaited  Horses  are trained  at a Solid Trot  before  learning  The  Lateral  
Gait .
