Suggestions? Hi Tracey, It seems that if you are concerned about controlling her or stopping her, perhaps taking a few steps backward are called for. Ditto what Frank said, and I would add that stopping and collection are very related activities. Both are a matter of driving the horse forward into soft hands, and have little to do with the sort of bit one has. As long as one is focused on stopping the horse with the bit, one will have difficulty achieving collection, IMO.
