The only way to see if an equine is getting enough
feed is to look at them. What is her body condition score? I believe the
archives as a description of body condition score.
When we were in WI we had to feed a lot of oil and
beet pulp to keep weight on the horses. In Montana, the land of fat
horses, we find we need to feed much less.
