If I am not wrong (correct me if I am) the rider is who is rated at the 
USEF/FEI level. I don't believe the rating system used in Endurance 
World was any different that the one used in say eventing, dressage, 
etc. And yes it promotes going through horses and he with the most 
horses and the most money to pay exercise riders wins.
