Re: [RC] [RC] Enduring posts-nothing wrong with introspection! - AprilReminds me of something that my Daddy told me growing up. "Honey, just find something you wanna do, cause no amount of money will make up for doing something you hate 40 hours a week, week after week." Glad I took his advice cause I do like my job (most of the time). But I don't believe in doing 80 hour work weeks. I just did a 55 hour work week and I thought I was going to die from it. I can't imagine doing 80 hours! LOL. Even when I'm "on a mission." The 55 hours was the extreme for me being "on a mission." I'll never make it up into that management level, but I don't really want to. I see what MY manager puts up with and I don't want his job for any amount of money! Luckily, I make a decent wage and due to some good sound financial advice (Dave Ramsey!), I'm managing the money I do get to be able to do the rides I want to do. I do know how much we spend on horses and endurance rides and we could do a lot with that money if I didn't do the horse thing, but I'd be heavier and sadder. :-) April Nashville, TN On Sat, 19 Feb 2005 20:41:50 -0500, gingerodgers@xxxxxxxxxxxx <gingerodgers@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Choose a profession that you love, work at it, and you will be happy. <snip> It takes money to participate in this sport. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
