I'm on the other side of the Bay in the Santa Cruz Mts
there are a lot of Ride Campers in the area plus we have a good local
equestrian board where you should be able to get boarding info very quickly

some local trail info for the south bay
http://www.openspace.org  Minpenninsula Openspace preserves [50,000
acres]in the Santa Cruz Mts
http://www.parkhere.org Santa Clara Co Parks

both sites have trail maps and show equestrian staging areas

I'm sure Merryben will chime in with more suggestions
