[RC] Barefoot/Shoeing - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Garrett Ford gford@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I have been watching many of the posts regarding the change of break over caused by boots. One of the great things about boots is that break over can be increased as far as needed with a regular rasp. If you want more break over simply rasp back the toe of the boot to the desired position. The break over can be quickly moved to any desired point. Many people have brought up the change of a horses gait after being booted. We recommend that people doing endurance type distance train in the boots for the majority of the conditioning rides. Like any type of endurance tack or feeding program it is best to race using the same variables used in training. The majority of Easyboot use in the sport of endurance is by people competing in rocky events or events that have a great deal of hard packed road surfaces. The cushioning and shock absorption qualities offered by an Easyboot are amazing. The benefits of Easyboots can quickly be seen after a very rocky event or an event with miles of hard packed road. Legs are much cooler and have much less filing. In addition some of the top mileage horses in AERC over the last couple years have used Easyboots for every event. It?s hard to put 1,500 miles on a horse when something isn?t working. Garrett Ford EasyCare Inc. 2300 E. Vistoso Commerce Loop.
