Fwd: RE: [RC] President's Cup Question - John TeeterI should also add that the invitation goes out the rider (through the federation). The rider is allowed to pick any mount they wish for this event. Many of the riders are on upAndComing horses which will be in the next WEC pool. While I think it is preferred that the horse/rider teams come, it's not a requirement. They really wanted Karen Kroon and Rokket to come though. They had the fasted time in the US last year (7:57 at the Arabian Nights ride). I think would like to see Karen/Rokket compete here. An interesting side note is that the invitee list went beyond the FEI ranks this year. This will be Karen Spencer's first FEI event (she had to wade through all that paperwork to get here!) and Karen/Rokket were in the AERC open division of the Arabian Nights ride when they won last summer.
