Last summer I rode a two-day 100 (okay, two separate 50's on the same
weekend since I'm paranoid about losing mileage) on 14.2 Cheers. My
partner for the two days had a tall, leggy Saddlebred/Arab. We came to the
conclusion that tall horses have the advantage in deep river crossings, and the
short ones are good for low hanging branches. By the way, Cheers NEVER has
a problem keeping up with any bigger horse...usually the opposite :-(
