Maybe some of the horses had it before, but I know that Tallymark hadn't. AND during the race this was mixed with molasses. Something TM had never had before. This was a decision made by staff. Touted as the best type of mixture. All of the riders were so much on board as a team that they did not want to oppose the staff on this. The shoeing issues were much like this. A desire to support the "plan" and staff. Steve. Do you think the horses while in Florida the horses should/could of been given this new formula of electrolytes? Do you have any idea what kind of electrolytes were given to these horses? That is something that we have always heard - do not change things on race day. I know riders who even wear the same socks or underwear for years as not to change anything ! Did they also change their shoeing?
