RE: [RC] [RC] Ideas? - Juli JakubI work at a private school that specializes in winter sports. They have made exceptions for riders including letting one girl go to Ocala for two weeks to show during the school year. Best thing to do is talk to the headmaster or whoever is the head of the school. They are usually pretty receptive if you present it in a coherent and organized manner. I am going to have a girl be my working student for her spring sport this year...all we did was ask and had a schedule already set up for what she would be expected to do each day!! We had back up information on what it takes to condition and take care of a horse as well as what it takes to learn to ride....we also have a personal trainer here at the school. We got him on our side ahead of time with the physical and mental benefits of riding. But you may be surprised... just go as high as you can in the administration and ask!!! Good luck ( also examples of schools like mine who allow riders to continue their passion or stoneleigh burnham with a full equestrian program can help them see that it is not odd!)

Juli Jakub

The Air of Heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears.

~ arabian proverb

From: SturmRanch@xxxxxxx To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx CC: GaitedEnduranceRiders@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] Ideas?
