Here in So Cal (after many years and miles of conditioning on trail) I've 
been having the same reaction.

I've on occasion wished I'd remembered to bring along a cell phone, but 
never a gun.

So--what the hell is a Super Soaker??

Good grief, Charlie Brown!  Am I ever glad that I live in the 
terrorist-ridden Middle East. The only gun I have in the house is a 
broken Super Soaker, and I wouldn't dream of owning anything more 
dangerous.  I have no need whatsoever for such force.  I ride all  over 
the place and have never needed any form of "protection".  It's  kind

of 

scary to hear all the people who need to carry a weapon.
