Re: [RC] guns - Sisu West Ranch"...don't know of anyone that has had a horse so injured they needed to be put down on the spot..." Part of that depends on how far you go from help. In Montana/Idaho where I live it is not hard to find yourself in a place where help is a 2 day ride each way from where you are, and the cell phones do not work. Of course, it is one of the less likely things in this world but we take sensible precautions against remote but potentially disasterous things all of the time. I have seat belts and air bags in my vehicles. Since I do not drive drunk, I suspect my chances of needing either if measured per mile or hour (Americans spend many more total hours in motor vehicles than they do on horses) is also remote. All cruse ships have life preservers and drills in their use, but very few ships go down in peace time. Good statistics to guide us in our personal lives are hard to come by. We just have to guess as to what a prudent person will do.
