Re: [RC] When I was a tailgater - Don HustonHello Linda,Great story you wrote. My new horse is not a tailgaiter, I still ride in jeans unless it's raining and amen to that first wooden bridge. It was my new horse's 3rd 25 at Malibu CA. About 3-40 minutes out from the start we were alone trotting and came to the bridge hidden in the trees. My horse dove left into the water so I kept turning left to bring him back around for another try when 4-5 riders came trotting by at the most perfect time. I completed the circle just as the last rider went by and fell in behind with me saying very loudly "don't stop my horse is scared of the bridge". I swear my horse crossed that bridge on his back legs. A real adrenalin rush!
