I would be more concerned about what you
can stop. Most heavy half ton trucks do not have the brakes needed to
haul a trailer that large. Hills or not you always need to be able to
stop in a controlled fashion. The brakes on a ¾ are significantly larger
than the heavy half and on a 1 ton they get even bigger. I have seen to
many accidents where the truck had the power to pull the load, but did not have
the brakes to stop it.

capacities
Hi. Am interested in feedback on
whether anyone has pulled GN (22' floor length with LQ) aluminum
with a Heavy Half GMC short box 4 X 4, Vortec V8 350 engine. We live in a
very flat Prairie area, so no need to pull up or down hills or
mountains. Any thoughts on what minimum size truck is required to
pull a trailer this size (approx. weight loaded 10 - 11,000 lbs)? Thanks.
