Has your mare been tested for selenium? I have a
Morgan mare here that used to tie-up easily, with just moderate exercise
(walking), until her owner had her tested for, and then started
supplementing with, selenium. The owner was also feeding grain on a daily basis,
which I have stopped doing, now she gets her supplements in shredded beet pulp.
She's hasn't tied up for about 6 years now.

do? Where do you get it and how much do you give?
