[RC] Best Emergency Boot? - Dream WeaverI think the Epic is probably the best all around, because you can put it on over a lose shoe, or a lost shoe and it will stay on, and it's not as big and heavy as some of the other ones so shouldn't throw your horses gait off, and at the vet check if it does you can always find and borrow a 2nd boot to balance things out. The gaiter folds down into the boot, so it takes up basically the same amount of space as a regular easyboot. I've been tying two of them onto the back of my saddle, that way I have an extra one for me, and an extra one to lend out, or rather -- if I happen to lend one out I still have one for me in case I need it! Another good thing is that if your horse takes a 1 on the front and an 0 on the back, you can carry a 1 only and it should work on either the 1 or the 0 foot, and you may be able to do that with a 2 also, and keep it on a 1 foot, of course try it on a training ride first to see before attempting it at an actual ride.Karen =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
