[RC] running through the woods with Ed - Jonni

Cowboy Ed says "i dont really pay much attention to collection when i am
running through the woods on my horse."

But, I'm sure you agree, that you want the ability to be able to have that
subtle communication if needed quickly to navigate the horse around some
hazard etc. You know, to avoid stepping on some rider in front of you who
went splat against one of the trees, and is now laying across the trail.
Never know what might be around the next corner!

What ever bridle I have on my horse, I don't want to ever have to hang on
their face, with them tugging against me, nor do I want to have to really
haul around on the reins if I need to move them in one direction or another.
It is nice to have a horse that will go on a looser rein, but gather
themselves up when you need them to, with the lightest and slightest cues
possible. And that to me is also part of "collection".

I'll eventually try my guy in the S Hack again, but I am just now getting
that finer communication that I was seeking with his Frenchlink snaffle
kimberwick......wait, I just changed to a Myler bit I got on sale.
Hummm..OK, low port comfort snaffle, Kimberwick cheeks.

And Ed, I'll follow YOU through the woods. YeeHaw! Let's go!
