RE: [RC] [RC] what is World Breeding Endurance Championship for - Leonard . LiesensWell John, at this stage there are no qualification required for foreign horses, except the ones put in force by every national federation for qualifyin g for a regular CEI 120kms. But this is, in my opinio, not enough to compete against the french who are entering their best young horse. It is king of a promotion window for them. Against them, foreigner show a very pale performance. I think also that foreigner qhould only attend this evet with their best horses, otherwise it is detremental to their breeding ... Leonard, Belgium thanks to Pauline and Leonard for sharing the background on the Breeder's Young Horse Championship. It's very nice to see how riders and breeders around the world are engaged in promoting the growth of endurance. When this question first came up, there were concerns expressed to me off list about the potential for this kind of event to encourage excessive stress on the young horses which are entered in this event. It is good to understand the qualification criteria for French horses which compete in this championship. Do you know if entrants from other countries have similar criteria, or is age the only factor? Is there an FEI "CoC" equivalent for the young horse championship? jt. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
