Re: [RC] Future WECs - heidiIt was mentioned over in Dubai that FEI is in a process of trying to figure out what WEC endurance is or should be in the future. Kinda the question of these flat, paid for, anything goes crewing races in the Middle East. Or the AERC, Tevis, Old Dominion type events. People should write to AERC International, FEI or USEF with their thoughts. I believe that our type of rides that include rider strategy and pitting ourselves and horses against the trail capture more of the essence of endurance riding/racing. But the UAE will continue to put on their types of events just as we over here will ours.... The bottom line is still who will bid to put one on. Letters need to be backed up by action--in the form of putting together a viable bid to host a WEC.
