Re: [RC] THANK YOU LORI YEARWOOD! - Kristen A FisherI think Lori stated very clearly that she thinks horses have a purpose with their person and if you choose to shoe to achieve that purpose, that's a perfectly valid choice. At least that's what I got. Many people think it's foolish I feed my dogs an all raw natural diet, saying the bones/germs/etc will kill them, their dogs lived to be 14 on Ol Roy - whatever. Yes, dogs can live long happy lives on dog food. What's right for my dogs is raw. Lori agreed horses can be fine with shoes, but she prefers barefoot and is making it work for her. Shari's the one saying "you'll all find out you're wrong!' Kristen So, Shari and Lori, quit making assumptions about the motives of others. If you are content to limit your horse's potential to fit your own private agenda, that's your business. More power to you. (And Lori is dead right that most barefoot enthusiasts DO NOT tell the truth about the hard work and time that it takes to maintain a barefoot horse simply to do light work. And because of that, many are injured.) However, the rest of us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
