Re: [RC] WHat does dubbed off feet with NBS mean? - Truman Prevatt

The NBS shoe is made so that the back of the shoe is a prescribed distance from the apex of the frog. The exact distance depends on the shoe size. The shoe is fit to the structure of the foot. If the toe is too long then more will hang over the toe than if the toe is normal. See http://www.hopeforsoundness.com/
for more info.

NBS is Natural Balance Shoeing. Dubbed off is the term used when the natural balanced shoer radically squares the toes/rasps the toe. You can find sites that will show you pictures of the radical NB shoeing. NOW, NOT ALL NB Shoers do this... remember just some do a radical job.... do not turn this around and say I said all NBS is radical.. I like a nice cross between NBS and normal shoeing using a NB shoe.
