It's not supposed to be THEIR race, it's supposed to be a World Championship. As ARC is part of the world, I think it's perfectly valid to compare/contrast the way a world championship was run to the way many rides occur in the US.

Why does ridecamp always compare their races to ours? They have no interest in a 5 day race. Could you imagine riding in the sand for 5 days or staying out there for 20+ hrs? Why are they expected to be like us? Why can't they do endurance the way their terrain allows them to. They don't have the terrain we do. They can't train for Tevis/Big Horn/Old Dominion over there.
