Every time I read something like this I'm reminded of the time when people thought most horses were not capable of more than one or two thousand career miles, that only the most exceptional would ever reach 3,000 career miles. There was even an article in Endurance News titled "Can 1,000 Mile Horses Still Win?" People really believed a horse would be used up after 1,000 miles, especially if they were fast miles. Good horses well conditioned and cared for are capable of much more than many people think. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
