Re: [RC] [RC] Observation re US and WEC - Ridecamp Guest - heidiI wonder how these UAE riders would do in a ride in NW Canada--or day 1 and 2 of the old Outlaw Trail. And then again, riding consistently in that desert heat and sand might prepare their horses for anything we could throw at them There were a few UAE folks at Tevis last year and one did pretty well, he finished 5th if I remember correctly and he had a broken arm! I am not sure about Canada of the Outlaw trail, but I really think that them and the horses would do just fine. I would not want to compete against them, or the Italians, or the Australians, or the French if I was planning on winning. They just look too strong... One thing I learned in other sports, never underestimate your competition. I would sure want to learn about the conditioning program that they use. Tony C And don't forget that they ran just fine in the mud in Spain, at least as far as individual performance. (Their team performance hasn't been all that shiny.) These folks ARE trying to do their homework! Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
