after reading the "official" results the WEC organizing committee in
Dubai presented the Gold Medal to the wrong horse at the awards
ceremony.  There was no prohibitive substance violation because the
original winner was reinstated with his placing.  I assume the second
drug test came back negative but I saw nothing about any drug test in
any statement.  Is there any kind of penalty/ramifications when an
organizing committee screws up like this? Did the first place horse file
a protest with FEI?


I think there is still a lot of assuming going on here.  The jist of what
I'm reading from Steph and John is that the answer isn't available yet,
and that we'll all have to wait until it is to know exactly what went on.
